PEANUT BLOSSOM COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Sugar
1 (9 oz.) pkg. foil-wrapped milk chocolate candy

Combine shortening and peanut butter. Add sugars mixing until well blended. Blend in eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well. Add combined remaining dry ingredients; mix well.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cooking sheet; bake at 375 degrees, 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately top each cookie with milk chocolate candy, pressing firmly so that cookie cracks around edges. Yield: approximately 4 dozen.
