JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
8 or 10 lg. apple, sliced as for pie
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar

Prepare above first and mix together.

STEP II:

Put the following in a large bowl:

3 c. unsifted flour
1 c. Mazola oil
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. sugar
4 unbeaten eggs
Juice of 1 orange
3 tsp. baking powder

Beat this together until smooth - will be thick. Put into greased large tube pan - one thin layer of batter, one of apples, batter, apples, etc. and end with apples on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2-2 hours.
