ALMOND AND RICE 
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped onions
1 can beef bouillon soup
1/2 c. raw rice
1 can mushroom stems and pieces

Melt butter and saute onions. Takes about 20 minutes. Don't brown. Add rest of ingredients. Heat all. Pour in casserole. Bake in a 350 degree oven, uncovered, for about 55 minutes.

Toast 1/2 package of slivered almonds in a small amount of butter, under broiler. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Return to a 350 degree oven and bake 5 more minutes. If you have a Corning Ware casserole, this whole process can be done in the same pot.
