CHEESE FILLED CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (18 oz.) chocolate cake mix
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Mix cake mix according to directions on package. Pour 1/3 of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Drop cream cheese mixture by spoonfuls evenly over batter. Cover with another 1/3 of batter. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cover with remaining 1/3 of batter. Bake as directed on package instructions.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. milk

Combine all ingredients. Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring frequently. Cool slightly, pour on cake.
