BROWN SUGAR BROWNIES 
1 (1 lb.) light brown sugar
1 c. butter
3 slightly beaten eggs
3 c. self-rising flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cut-up pecans

Melt butter with sugar. Add eggs and mix. Add flour and mix. Add vanilla and mix. Add pecans and mix. Pour into a large greased cookie sheet (with sides) and bake for about 20 minutes at 375 degrees. They will look like they are not done, but don't cook any longer - they will get hard. Cut BEFORE they cool!
