SOFT OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. regular sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins

Cream butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt, soda, and oats. Mix well. Stir in raisins. Drop by tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Bake above oven center at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Makes 3-4 dozen.
