1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 c. sugar
Dash salt
1/3 c. hot water
1 qt. milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine dry ingredients in saucepan; blend in water. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 2 minutes. Add milk; stir and heat. Do not boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Beat with a rotary beater until foamy. Yield 1 quart.

Single serving; combine in a cup: 2 heaping tsp. sugar Dash salt

Add 2 teaspoons milk and stir until smooth. Add 1 cup hot milk. Stir and serve.
