FARMER'S CABBAGE 
Shred one cabbage, place in a well buttered baking dish. Season well with salt and pepper, add 2 cups white sauce, mix well. Cover with buttered bread crumbs. Bake until brown.

WHITE SAUCE:

3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
3/8 tsp. salt
Few grains of pepper

Melt the butter. Add flour mixed with seasonings. Stir until thoroughly blended. Then pour on gradually while stirring constantly the milk, bring to the boiling point and boil 2 minutes.
