CALIFORNIA NUT BALLS 
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. pastry flour
1 c. butter (No substitute)
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients and roll in small balls about the size of a quarter. Bake on cookie sheets, close together, in real slow oven (225 degrees) for at least an hour depending on your oven. When done roll in powdered sugar while warm. They will melt in your mouth. Friends have tried using lard and butter, which was a disaster.
