FAVORITE BANANA BREAD | |
1/3 c. butter 2/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 3 mashed ripe bananas 1 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. lg. walnut bits Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add bananas; blend well. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to batter; mix well. Stir in vanilla and walnut pieces. Pour into greased and floured 9 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until lightly browned and cooked through. Cool on wire rack. Serve cool. Stores for a long time (wrapped) in the refrigerator. Freezes well. |
