CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 c. butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt together butter and chocolate. Let cool. Beat eggs and sugar. Add to cooled chocolate mixture. Add flour, vanilla and salt. Stir in nuts. Pour mixture into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Melt caramel and evaporated milk stirring constantly. Spread caramel mixture over brownies. Top with remaining brownie mixture. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
