BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
4 qts. sliced cucumbers
2 c. sliced onions
1 tbsp. salt
1 qt. vinegar
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. mustard seed
2 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. turmeric
1 stick cinnamon

Combine first 3 ingredients and cover with water. Let stand for 2 hours. Drain. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Fill canning jars with cucumber mixture. Pour cooked mixture into jars and seal.
