CANNED BEETS 
2 1/2 c. vinegar
5 1/2 c. water
4 c. sugar
Heaping tsp. salt
Beets

Mix vinegar, water, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil. Cook beets until tender. Peel and place in hot liquid for a few minutes and dip out. Place in jars. Pour hot liquid mixture over and seal.
