LOUISIANA SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
6 eggs, separated
3 c. sifted plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg yolks one at a time. Sift together flour and soda; add alternately with sour cream. Add flavorings. Beat egg whites in separate bowl until stiff. Gently fold into batter. Bake in tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. (This recipe was given to me over 20 years ago by a dear 80 year old lady know to all as Mama Mart.)
