BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup softened shortening (Crisco)
2 eggs
1 cup warm water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 (or more) cups all-purpose flour

Mix ingredients in order. Add flour until dough is stiff. Roll out 1/4-inch thick. Cut out and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
