OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 cup boiling water
1 cup quick oats
1 stick butter

Pour boiling water over oats and add butter. Cover for 20 minutes.

Stir together:

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt and soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, well beaten

Add to oatmeal mixture.

Pour into 9x13 inch greased pan for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Icing for Oatmeal cake:

6 tablespoons butter
1/4 c. cream
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup coconut
Nuts, optional

Mix together and spoon on cake while still hot. Put back in oven few minutes to brown coconut.
