BUTTERSCOTCH MERINGUE PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks, beaten slightly
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix brown sugar, flour and salt. Gradually add to milk. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils, stirring constantly. Cook 2 minutes and remove from heat. Mix small amount of milk mixture to egg yolks and stir into remaining hot mixture. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add butter and vanilla; cool slightly. Pour into pie shell and cool.
