WONDERFUL PLUM CRUNCH | |
3 lbs. fresh prune-plums, quartered and pitted 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 c. sifted enriched flour 1 c. granulated sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 egg, beaten 1/2 c. butter, melted Combine prunes and brown sugar. Spoon into 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Sift together dry ingredients; add egg, tossing with fork until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle evenly over plums. Drizzle with butter. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) about 45 minutes or until lightly brown. Serve warm topped with ice cream or whipped cream. Makes 8 servings. |
