GLORIFIED RICE 
3 qts. boiling water
3/4 c. sugar
Dash salt
1 lg. can fruit cocktail, drained
1 lg. can pineapple chunks, drained
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1 1/2 c. rice
1 c. milk
Sweetened whipping cream

Add rice to boiling water. Boil for about 25 minutes. Pour in colander and rinse with hot water. Drain well. Add sugar, 1 cup milk and salt. Bake in covered dish at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (don't let bake dry). Chill thoroughly. Add sweetened whipping cream and drained fruits. If rice seems a little dry add a little of the cocktail juice. This is Grandma's recipe everyone asks for at family gatherings.
