PIZZA SAUCE 
2 tbsp. oil
2/3 c. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 (1 lb.) cans Italian tomatoes
6 oz. tomato paste
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

Heat oil. Saute onion and garlic. Add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer 50 minutes uncovered. Makes enough for 2 pizzas; can be frozen.
