CHERRY CHOCOLATE KISSES 
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 tsp. maraschino cherry juice
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Few drops red food coloring
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
Approximately 48 chocolate kisses

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry juice, almond extract, and food coloring. Stir in flour and salt, mix well. Stir in cherries. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Immediately top each cookie with kiss, press down.
