40 med. cucumbers 6 heads dill 6 cloves garlic 6 sm. dried red peppers 6 thick slices onion 1 qt. cider vinegar 2 qts. water 1 c. canning salt Select fresh firm cucumbers. Pack tight into hot sterilized jars. Add 1 head dill, 1 clove garlic, 1 red pepper and 1 thick slice onion to each jar. Combine vinegar, water and salt in saucepan. Bring to hard boil. Fill jars to overflowing with hot vinegar mixture. Wipe jar tops clean and adjust tops. Place in a hot boiling water bath for 15 minutes. |
