ANN'S MEATBALLS AND GRAVY 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 slice bread, soaked in water and squeezed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. tomato juice or V-8
1 tbsp. flour

Shape into meatballs and fry on medium heat in 2 tablespoons oil until brown. Remove meatballs from pan and make gravy from excess fat and 1 tablespoons of flour. Add tomato juice and 1 cup boiling water to flour mixture. Stir together until slightly thickened, then add meatballs. Simmer 40 minutes covered. Season gravy. Serve over mashed potatoes. Yummy!

I think this is probably a really great recipe - but I had to figure it out - step by step. Guessing the first 3 ingredients make the meatballs. Will attempt this in next few days.
