PAPRIKA CHICKEN STEW 
4 lbs. chicken, cleaned
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. butter
1 red onion
1 1/2 tbsp. paprika
28 oz. can tomatoes, with juice
2 garlic cloves, smashed
2 sprigs lovage, chopped
1 green pepper, cubed and sauteed
Seasoned flour (use to your personal liking)
Salt and pepper (use to your personal liking)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut chicken into 8 pieces. Skin and dredge meat in seasoned flour. Heat oil in large ovenproof casserole over high heat. Add chicken pieces and sear 4 minutes over medium high heat. Add butter to pan, turn chicken pieces over and continue searing 4 minutes.

Add onion and paprika; cook another 6-7 minutes. Add tomatoes with juice and garlic; mix well. Add lovage, season and bring to boil. Cover and finish cooking 30 minutes in oven. Add sauteed green pepper to casserole; cover and resume cooking for 15 minutes. Serves 4-6.

Cooking words: 1. Sear - to brown the surface of meat over high heat; 2. Lovage - an herb (parsley).
