1/2 c. butter
6 tbsp. brown sugar
6 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans

May add: Raisins or 1/2 c. peanut butter

Cream sugar and butter adding eggs and beating well. Mix slowly to this the flour to which baking powder, salt and soda has been added. Stir in vanilla and nuts or whatever you choose. Drop by teaspoon and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
