BANANA NUT CAKE WITH BANANA
FILLING
 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
3 eggs, well beaten
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 mashed bananas
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Beat together sugar, Crisco and eggs. Then add alternately buttermilk and flour mixture. Then add bananas, vanilla and pecans. Bake in 3 floured pans at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

BANANA FILLING:

May be used to ice cake but is not real sweet. 4 tbsp. flour 3/4 c. cold water 2 sm. mashed bananas 1 egg, well beaten 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Combine and cook until thick sugar, flour, water, egg, butter and vanilla. Then add 2 bananas and chopped nuts.
