NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg
1/2 c. water

Mix flour, sugar, shortening and salt with pastry blender or fork. Beat the egg, add water and vinegar; mix well. Combine the 2 mixtures, a little at a time until all the dry ingredients are moist. Mold together with your hands.
