24 HOUR GREEN SALAD 
1/2 head lettuce, shredded

Top with:

1/4 c. green onion, chopped
1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
1/2-1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1/2 pkg. frozen peas, uncooked

Spread 1 cup mayonnaise over top and seal completely. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, (1 teaspoon season salt, 1 teaspoon sugar) and a dash garlic powder. Cover tightly with Saran Wrap. Refrigerate overnight. Toss well. Before serving, sprinkle over top 2 chopped hard boiled eggs and bacon bits. Serves 6-8.

This is a handy "make-ahead" salad. I always use the whole can of chestnuts and add more lettuce if it's for a crowd.
