ONION PORK CHOPS
4 center cut pork chops, bone in
4 med. potatoes, peeled and sliced in 1/4 inch slices
1 env. onion soup mix
1 can (10 1/2 oz. to 15 oz.) beef gravy (pork or brown gravy is fine too)
Water
Salt and pepper, to taste just a dash will do
Pam cooking spray

Spray Pam on glass or aluminum baking pan. Layer potato slices on bottom of pan. Arrange pork chops on top. Sprinkle onion soup mix on top, along with salt and pepper. Pour gravy on top and add enough water to make bottom of pan covered with liquid. Wrap tightly in aluminum foil and bake in preheated 425 degree oven for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil and bake additional 15 minutes to brown.

Onion Pork Chops

I've made this a few times and it's an easy one-dish dinner that tastes fantastic. I used boneless pork chops and only about half of the soup packet (the soup packets typically have a lot of sodium, as does the jar gravy). I add just a small dash of additional salt. Yummy, yummy!

I brown chops first, add potatoes carrots and onions. For gravy I use package of Pioneer country gravy mix (two cup package). Cook same temp and time no need to brown. Have done this half a dozen times, comes out great!
