AMERICAN HERB MARINADE 
1/2 c. olive or cooking oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. tomato juice
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. snipped parsley
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried marjoram, crushed
1 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic, minced

Combine all ingredients. Place lamb, pork, beef or chicken in a plastic bag. Set in a deep bowl or shallow baking dish. Pour marinade over meat. Close bag or cover dish. Refrigerate 4-6 hours or overnight. Turn the bag or spoon marinade over the meat to coat evenly. Makes enough for 3-4 pounds of meat.
