SLOW COOKER STEW | |
3/4 to 1 lb. stew meat 1 pkg. onion soup mix, dry 4-5 med. carrots, sliced or 1 (16 oz.) can corn, drained 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms 2 cans golden mushroom soup 3-4 potatoes, cut into chunks 1 tbsp. cooking oil Fry meat in oil just to brown outside. When meat is almost brown, sprinkle half the dry soup mix over meat. Line bottom of slow cooker with half carrots or corn and half potatoes and half mushrooms. Pour 1 can soup over vegetables, then use half of the meat. Repeat with the rest of the vegetables then the rest of the meat. Pour can of soup over this, then add the rest of the onion soup mix. Cook on High for 3 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours. |
