KISS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
9 oz. pkg. milk chocolate kisses (about 54)

In the large bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter, granulated sugar and vanilla. Add the flour and the walnuts; beat on low speed until thoroughly mixed. Cover and chill.

Meanwhile unwrap the chocolate kisses. Shape a scant tablespoon of the dough around each kiss, making sure to cover each completely. Roll between your palms to form a ball; place well apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until bottom edges are golden and cookie looks set - 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Store in a tightly covered tin box. Makes 54.
