22 MINUTE TEXAS CAKE 
2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix sugar and flour and set aside. In saucepan mix butter, shortening, water and cocoa. Bring to boil. Pour over dry mixture. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in a 12x12 pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 lb. 10X sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 can coconut

While cake is baking, mix butter, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients. Pour over cake as soon as it is removed from oven.
