BRUNSWICK STEW (GEORGIA) 
1 lb. pork (optional)
4 lb. hen
2 qt. water
2 lg. onions, chopped
2 1/2 c. okra, sliced
4 c. fresh tomatoes, chopped
2 c. sm. green limas or English peas
3 med. potatoes, diced
4 c. fresh corn, cut from cob or 2 lg. can cream corn
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1 hot pepper, chopped
1/2 c. catsup
1/4 c. Worcestershire
4 tsp. 57 sauce (optional)
1 tsp. lemon juice or 1 tsp. vinegar

Cook pork and hen, cut in pieces. Add vegetable to broth (except corn) simmer 30 minutes. Add meat and corn and rest of the ingredients, simmer 30 more minutes, stirring often to keep from scorching.
