BREAKFAST BREAK COFFEE CAKE 
Heat oven to 375 degrees, grease a 9"x13" pan.

STEP #1:

Mix together, by beating by hand the following ingredients: 1/2 c. sugar 5 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco) 1 1/2 c. milk

Spread batter evenly over the 9"x13" pan.

STEP #2:

Mix together with a fork: 2/3 c. chopped walnuts 3/4-1 tsp. cinnamon

STEP #3:

Sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture over the batter and then spread 1 can of pie filling (cherry, blueberry, apple or peach, whichever you prefer) over the brown sugar mixture by dropping by the teaspoonful.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

STEP #4:

While still warm, stir up a mixture of 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 3 to 4 teaspoons water, then drizzle over the warm coffee cake.
