BEST EVER CABBAGE SALAD 
4 c. shredded cabbage
1 green or red pepper
1 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. salad oil
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Mix and pour over cabbage, pepper, and onions. Let stand at least 6 hours before serving. Will keep for days.
