POPPY SEED PECAN BREAD 
2 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp. poppy seeds

Grease, flour and line with brown paper three 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 pans. In large bowl, mix all ingredients. Pour mixture into pans.

Bake at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and top with glaze while warm.

Glaze:

1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. orange juice
