TART STRAWBERRY MOUSSE | |
2 c. washed, hulled strawberries 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. grated lemon rind 1 env. unflavored gelatin 1/4 c. cold water 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. orange juice 1 c. sour cream Mash strawberries. Add sugar and lemon rind, set aside. Soak gelatin in cold water until softened. Dissolve over hot water. Remove from heat. Add lemon and orange juice, mix well. Add this mixture to strawberry mixture. Stir, chill. When almost set up, whip with rotary beater until light and foamy. Fold in sour cream, pour into 6 individual molds, chill until firm. Unmold, if desired and top with whipped cream. Makes 6 servings. |
