BANANA BLONDIES 
6 tbsp. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. banana puree
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9" square baking pan. Cream butter, add sugar and beat in egg. Stir in banana puree (can use food processor). Stir in flour and baking soda; add vanilla. Add chocolate chips and walnuts and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before cutting into squares. (Can double recipe, using 9"x15" pan.) Yield: 16 squares.
