VANILLA CREAM PIE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 eggs
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, flour, salt and blend thoroughly. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over moderate heat until mixture thickens, then continue to cook 2 minutes. Mix some of the mixture over beaten eggs, stir well then stir the egg mixture with filling in pan. Return to low heat and cook 1 minute longer. Add butter and vanilla and mix well. Pour into baked pie shell.

BANANA CREAM PIE: Slice 2 or 3 bananas in pie shell and mix.

CHOCOLATE CHIP CREAM PIE: Fold 1/2 to 3/4 cup chocolate bits into filling.

PEANUT BUTTER PIE: Mix 1/4 to 1/2 cup cream style peanut butter to filling (I use 1/3 cup).
