MEATLOAF 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk, added to egg
1 slice bread, broken to sm. pieces
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. seasoning salt
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. wheat germ
2 tbsp. chopped bell pepper
2 tbsp. oatmeal, uncooked

In a bowl beat egg slightly. Add milk and stir. Combine meat and rest of ingredients. Add milk with egg and most of tomato sauce. Mix all well together and pour into loaf pan. Pour remaining tomato sauce over top of loaf. Cover with foil. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees, uncover, bake 20 minutes more to brown. This loaf slices well.
