1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 drops maple flavoring
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate bits

Cream the butter with the brown sugar. Add the egg yolk and mix well. Add the flour, vanilla and maple flavoring. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan.

Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Quickly spread chocolate bits on top while hot. Sprinkle with nuts or nuts, cinnamon and sugar.
