BEEF TACOS
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 (1 1/4 oz.) env. taco seasoning mix
3/4 c. water
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
12 taco shells
Shredded lettuce
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 (16 oz.) jar taco sauce

Brown meat; drain. Add onions and garlic; cook until tender. Stir in seasoning mix and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add 1 cup cheese; stir until melted. Place shells on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Fill shells with meat mixture. Top with tomatoes and remaining cheese. Serve with sauce. Makes 12 tacos.

Microwave Method: Reduce water to 1/4 cup. Crumble meat into medium bowl; stir in onions and garlic. Microwave on high 5 to 6 minutes or until meat loses pink color when stirred. Stir in seasoning mix and water. Microwave on high 2 minutes. Stir in 1 cup cheese. Microwave 30 seconds. Microwave shells 1 minute. Continue as directed.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
