CHIP AND NUT BARS 
1 tub (1 c.) soft butter
1 3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tbsp. instant coffee powder
1 c. chopped pecans
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi sweet chocolate pieces

Put all ingredients except nuts and chocolate pieces in large mixing bowl and stir together. Stir in 1/2 of nuts and chocolate pieces. Coat a 10 x 15 x 1 inch pan with butter. Spread mixture evenly in pan. Sprinkle top with remaining nuts and chocolate. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
