CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY COOKIES 
COOKIE:

Mix:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Beat until fluffy:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar

Beat and add to sugar mixture:

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Add dry mixture to sugar mixture and mix well.

FROSTING:

Before starting drain 1 (10 ounce) jar of cherries, save juice.

1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 (6 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Microwave milk and chips just until chips are melted. Stir in 4 teaspoons cherry juice.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Press center with thumb. Put cherry into center. Spoon 1 teaspoon or so frosting over cherry, spreading to cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Do Not Overbake. Yield 48 cookies.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
