TEXAS PANHANDLE CABBAGE SALAD 
1 med. head red cabbage
8 to 10 green onions
1 med. green pepper
2 pkgs. Ramen noodles (discard flavor packet)
1/2 c. sesame seeds
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. slivered almonds

DRESSING:

1 c. salad oil
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. rice vinegar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Mix all dressing ingredients together and chill. Chop cabbage, green onions and green pepper. Mix together. Brown sesame seeds and almonds in butter, cool and add to cabbage mixture. Add broken ramen noodles and dressing right before serving so noodles will stay crisp.
