HAMBURGER PIE | |
1 1/4 lbs. ground beef 1/3 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional) 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt 1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls 1 (8 oz.) can green beans, drained 2 c. shredded Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese 1 c. Cheddar cheese Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large frying pan, brown ground beef and pepper. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, beans, onion, garlic, and regular salt. Let simmer while you prepare crust. Separate rolls and spread out to cover bottoms and sides of casserole pan. Spread 1/2 cheese mixture over bottom. Spoon in meat mixture. Cover with remaining cheese mixture. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until rolls are cooked. Note: If too much sauce is used "pie" will get soggy. |
