CALICO BAKED BEANS | |
1/2 lb. ground round 1/2 lb. bacon, diced 1 lg. onion 1/2 c. catsup 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. prepared mustard 4 tsp. cider or white vinegar 3/4 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed 1 (30 oz.) can pork and beans 1 (15 oz.) can garbonzo beans, drained 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lima beans, cooked slightly and drained Cook bacon until almost crisp; add onion and ground meat; cook until onions are tender and meat loses its red color. Drain off excess fat. Stir in catsup, salt, mustard, vinegar and sugar. Combine remaining ingredients in a 3 quart casserole; stir in meat mixture. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until bubbly. Garnish with bacon strips if desired. |
