ANISE COOKIES
6 eggs
6 half egg shells of oil
1 c. sugar
4 c. flour
5 tbsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. anise flavor (liquid)

Beat eggs, add oil, sugar, anise flavor and mix well. Sift flour. Measure and add baking powder, salt and sift again. Mix well by hand with egg mixture.

Take a small handful of dough and roll into a log form. Cut into one inch length at an angle. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees, 10 to 12 minutes. Cookies will not be brown when done. Frost with a powdered sugar frosting while warm.

POWDERED SUGAR FROSTING:

Cream about 3/4 cube of butter (at room temperature). Add one box (1 pound) powdered sugar to creamed butter. Add milk to mixture to make a medium frosting. In a large bowl coat frosting and cookies together. Place on cookie sheet to dry. Keep in tightly closed container or freeze. Makes about 10 dozen cookies.
