CORN CHOWDER 
3 slices bacon, chopped
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1 1/4 c. cut up potatoes
1 c. water
2 c. cream-style corn
3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook bacon in saucepan until crisp. Remove from pan and save for later use. Lightly brown onion in bacon fat; add potatoes and water. Boil gently for 10 minutes. Add corn and cook 10 minutes longer. Stir in milk, salt and bacon. Heat just until hot.

Makes 6 (1 cup) servings.
